Recently, JIC Leasing Shanghai’s customized 56000DWT bulk cargo ship, built by a domestically famous shipyard was completed and delivered. This is the second new ship to be delivered to the charterer, a Shanghai-based shipping company, this year.

Construction started on January 18, 2021, and the ship was completed on December 1 and recently delivered. The 56000DWT bulk cargo ships are efficient domestic trade ships suitable for China’s offshore navigation area and Yangtze River trade route. With superior maneuverability, high propulsion efficiency and low fuel consumption, these ships have a good market prospect. The newly delivered ship has enhanced the charterer’s shipping ability in China. 

Thus far, JIC Leasing Shanghai has leased out about 10 ships under such modes as USD used ship direct lease and lease-back, RMB new ship direct lease and used ship lease-back. In the future, JIC Leasing Shanghai will continue to give full play to the advantage of financial leasing and support the structural adjustment, transformation and upgrading of the Chinese shipping and shipbuilding industries.
