JIC Leasing Supported the Construction of a Green Water Source in Northern Zhejiang
Recently, JIC Leasing Shanghai issued financial leasing funds to a water conservancy facility construction company in Northern Zhejiang for the maintenance of the dams of Hexi Reservoir—the largest local reservoir and reconstruction of water gate and pumping station.
Located in Changxing County along the southern bank of Lake Tai and constructed in 2007, Hexi Reservoir is a water conservancy project integrating flood control, disaster reduction, environmental improvement, regional water supply and the promotion of local economic development. With a total storage capacity of 111 million cubic meters, Hexi Reservoir now provides clean water for more than 450,000 residents in the urban area of Changxing County and 10 surrounding towns. The rainwater collection area for the entire reservoir is about 235 square kilometers. With the continuous promotion of local ecological development in recent years, the green and picturesque reservoir area offers excellent water quality, and rich fishery resources, making it a well-known “must-go” eco-tourism attraction. With the financial support from JIC Leasing, some core components of the Hexi Reservoir Water Gate and Pumping Station will be maintained and replaced, and the safety and reliability of the reservoir will be further improved.
To actively practice the sustainability idea that “clean waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”, JIC Leasing has made active efforts in issuing financial leasing funds to green projects to advance the construction of a green and harmonious society.
