JIC Leasing Shanghai recently successfully delivered a 76,000T bulk carrier for domestic trade to a lessee.

The lessee is a domestically famous private shipping enterprise. The successful delivery of the carrier has not only enhanced the lessee’s shipping capacity, but also provided a strong guarantee to the stabilization of the production and transportation of downstream enterprises. The newly delivered carrier is the latest type of green energy-saving ship which suits China’s coastal shipping area, and is competitive in the current domestic trade market. Compared with the traditional  70,000T Panama-type carriers for domestic trade, this carrier has increased its loading capacity by 5,700 tons under the premise of maintaining a shallow draft of 12.8 meters, and reduced the fuel consumption of the main engine by 8 tons/day. It has the advantages of a higher cargo capacity, shallow draft, energy conservation and consumption reduction, and can effectively help the transformation and upgrading of the shipping industry toward the direction of “energy conservation, emission reduction, green and low-carbon development”.
