JIC Leasing Supports the Operation of a Photovoltaic Power Plant for Poverty Alleviation
JIC Leasing recently partnered up with an energy enterprise to support the operation of its distributed photovoltaic power plant project through financial leasing services.
The power plant is a 6MW village-level photovoltaic plant designed to assist with poverty alleviation, and has been fully connected to the grid. Based on annual equivalent utilization hours, China is divided into Class Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ resource zones, with annual reasonable utilization of photovoltaic projects in each class of resource zones being 1600 hours/year, 1300 hours/year and 1100 hours/year, respectively. This power plant is located in a Class III resource zone, and the project has an average annual utilization of nearly 1,300 hours, which is close to the criteria for Class II zones. Hence, it is operating very well. Through targeted poverty alleviation initiatives, the income generated by this power plant has benefited more than 20 village collectives and more than 400 low-income households, allowing financially-strained people to directly increase their income through photovoltaic power generation.
JIC Leasing practices a "green and low-carbon" business concept, and continues to increase its support for new energy, environmental protection and other industries, while actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, helping with targeted poverty alleviation and supporting rural revitalization.
