JIC Leasing: Aiming for Good Performance in Green Finance
As global warming has continued to set new records in recent years, the impact of extreme weather and climate events has intensified, and humankind is facing an increasingly urgent climate change crisis. In order to meet this challenge, China has set up an organizational structure to address climate change, actively formulating and implementing a series of strategies, regulations, policies, standards and actions to address climate change. China's installed capacity for renewable energy now ranks first in the world, with total carbon reserves of vegetation cover reaching 11.443 billion tons. With the national carbon emission trading market covering about 5.1 billion tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year, China has become the world's largest carbon market for greenhouse gas emissions, playing an irreplaceable role in promoting the practice of global climate governance.
JIC Leasing continues to increase its support for green energy, energy conservation, environmental protection, and pollution prevention and control, and constantly innovates its business model to support the green energy-saving transformation and carbon reduction of traditional enterprises, contributing to the creation of a "Green China".
Green Energy Utilization
The current international political and economic landscape is in turmoil, and the global energy market has entered a period of significant adjustment in terms of supply and demand, transportation corridors, competition and energy structures. Global energy security is facing continuous threats. In response to this shock, countries are actively deploying to accelerate a clean energy transition and address the established and urgent reality of climate change.
JIC Leasing actively practices the concept of green development, helps the construction of clean energy supplies and supporting projects, and combines wind power distribution, photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, hydrogen energy, natural gas and other segments. In this way, the company supports the construction of clean energy heating projects, new energy battery charging and replacement infrastructure, new energy automobile support facilities, and the recycling of lithium batteries. All these efforts are intended to deliver good performance for green finance, improve the regional environment, improve ecological and environmental benefits, and help new productive forces empower high-quality economic and social development.
Ecological Water Management
Water is the source of life, the essence of production and the foundation of ecology. Water security is vital to the long-term stability of a country. China's per capita water resources are only one quarter of the global average, making it one of the 13 countries with the poorest per capita water resources in the world. Hence, China is facing severe challenges in terms of water conservation and protection. The Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for Water Safety and Security decrees that priority should be given to water conservation, spatial balance, systematic management and two equal focuses, and that the national water safety and security capacity should be improved.
JIC Leasing continues to intensify its efforts in green industries related to pollution prevention and ecological restoration, helping enterprises carry out livelihood projects such as upgrading environmental governance infrastructure, flood control projects and water resource security projects, as well as regional ecological restoration, water system management, sewage treatment and utilization. These efforts are designed to build an eco-friendly society, and promote the sustainable development of the ecological and environmental protection industry.
Construction Waste Recycling
Garbage is a misplaced resource. As the pace of China's urban construction and renewal continues to speed up, the demolition of old and new construction projects are increasing every day, with incremental construction waste reaching as much as 3.5 billion tons per year, accounting for 30%-40% of total urban waste. As a renewable resource, construction waste can be converted into recycled coarse (fine) aggregate, recycled powder, redundant soil and other recycled materials after sorting, culling or crushing. Recycled materials can also be made into recycled concrete and mortar, burn-free recycled products and other resource utilization products.
JIC Leasing vigorously promotes the development of green and low-carbon businesses, supports the construction of waste recycling production enterprise projects with an annual construction waste treatment capacity up to 1 million tons, and helps the creation of a zero-waste city with practical actions to realize a win-win situation of environmental improvement and economic development.
Ecological Mine Restoration
China is one of the world's largest countries in the development and utilization of mineral resources, and is currently in a new stage of development. Hence, the demand for construction land, energy and mineral resources will remain high for many years to come. The development and utilization of mining resources provide an important guarantee for the economic and social development of mankind. With the exploitation of mineral resources, the ecological damage caused to the atmosphere, soil, groundwater and terrain landscape will also follow. Promoting the development and utilization of mineral resources, combined with sustainable and healthy economic and social development, has become one of the key environmental issues needing to be addressed today.
JIC Leasing makes the most of its financial leasing capabilities, promoting ecological restoration, resource recycling and value enhancement, and helping the comprehensive utilization of abandoned mines in green intelligent manufacturing parks to create an intelligent mining supervision platform composed of intelligent boundary piles, video surveillance, dust monitoring and other components. This system will serve as the wings of "digital intelligence" for slope management, bottom leveling and greening system projects in the restoration and utilization of abandoned mines.
