JIC Leasing Co., Ltd. Advances “Green Leasing” in Support of Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Industry Development
By the end of 2013, China's total investment in environmental protection had been nearly RMB1 trillion and the total output value of China's energy conservation service industry had topped RMB200 billion; by late September 2014, the total volume of China's financial leasing business and the total number of financial leasing enterprises had been RMB2.9 trillion and about 1,630 respectively.
Rapid data growth has made “energy conservation and environmental protection” and “financial leasing” become hot words at present. How are the two fast-growing industries connected effectively? How is the energy conservation and environmental protection supported by the financial leasing industry service? How does financial leasing find huge room for business development in energy conservation and environmental protection? These questions were under heated discussion at the 2014 “Green Leasing” Comprehensive Financing Service Forum organized by JIC Leasing in association with CECEP Assets Management Co., Ltd. (CECAMC) and the ESCO Committee of China Energy Conservation Association on October 16.
“The country has offered strong policy support for energy conservation and environmental protection, but owners and service providers in the industry remain confused. Owners are under heavy investment pressure, lack professional technical background of energy conservation and environmental protection, and face some technical risks; to service providers, loan amount is huge, financing capacity is limited, and problems such as project price negotiation, operation and high dependence on owners for payment collection. The core of resolving the seconfusions is of course capital,” Meng Jianguo, Marketing Director of JIC Leasing, said, adding, “Financial leasing companies are superior in such aspects as line of credit, financing ratio, tax planning, mode of repayment and term of financial leasing. By studying and exploring the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, we have tailored many products and financial instruments to energy conservation and environmental protection enterprises, have had many successful cases in water, air and chemical pollution treatment and energy conservation renovation of enterprise, and have been able to provide comprehensive financial services to customers in fields such as commercial factoring, supply chain financing and financial consultation.”
Speaking of advancing the development of the energy conservation service industry with government institutions, Wang Yongsheng, Vice General Manager of the JIC Leasing,exchanged ideas with the Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center on issues including setting up a special fund for energy conservation and emission reduction management, energy conservation technology appraisal, etc.
At the forum,Qin Qun, General Manager of the JIC Leasing and Wang Yi, Chairman of CECAMC signed the 2015 Business Cooperation Agreement on behalf of respective sides. Under this agreement, the two sides will, under the principles of mutual benefit, reciprocity and equal cooperation, implement financial leasing project, make business exchange,conduct recommendation and establish a stable and smooth information communication mechanism.
Referring to “GreenLeasing”, Qin said, “Since its restructuring in 2010, JIC Leasing has followed the trend of transformation and up grading of the national industrial structure to develop energy conservation and environmental protection as a strategic business.
