JIC Leasing successfully hands over first Mi-171 helicopters
On 22 February, it is -4ºC at Manzhouli Xijiao Airport of Inner Mongolia, China, two blue-and-white striped helicopters are parked at the airport.
They are the first batch of Mi-171 helicopters that JIC Leasing has successfully brought in and will be handed over at Manzhouli Xijiao Airport. Once handed over, they will fly to Daxing’anling in Heilongjiang Province, China, where they will be engaged forest-protection and fire-prevention operations.
The Mi-171 helicopter is the third-generation model of the Mi-8 series. To date, over 1,400 such helicopters have been produced and in operation in 71 countries around the world. The helicopter has reliable performance and is relatively simple to operate. It exhibits outstanding performance particularly in emergency rescue and forest protection and fire prevention. Moreover, it is able to flexibly and swiftly switch between goods and personnel transport.
